The Furuno IC-119 is an advanced Inmarsat Mini-C antenna designed for the FELCOM 19 Mobile Earth Station. This unit is uniquely engineered as a "Black-Box" ADE (Above Deck Equipment), meaning the critical communication electronics are housed directly inside the antenna radome.

It provides seamless support for Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT), Ship Security Alert Systems (SSAS), and general messaging (E-mail, Telex, and Data Polling). Its omni-directional helical design ensures constant satellite contact without the need for complex mechanical tracking, making it ideal for the extreme vibration and motion of commercial shipping.

TYPICAL CONDITION (USED/REFURBISHED)

When we supply refurbished IC-119 units from Bhavnagar, we prioritize testing the "internal modem" functionality. Unlike older antennas, the IC-119 is more electronic than mechanical. We verify that the GPS cold-starts correctly and that the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for Inmarsat-C reception is within factory limits. We also ensure the connector base is completely free of water damage or oxidation.
